Steins Gate has officially been translated into English and released. This PC version has been taking a while but if JAST USA and the production team are to be believed, it'll be worth it!
I loved the Steins;Gate anime. It was a fresh, emotional and exciting story about time travel and the consequences of interfering with time. It's a lot more than that though, there's a cast of wonderfully loveable characters, loads of drama and plot twists. Which other anime has CERN as the bad guys? The anime aired at an appropriate time as there was quite a stir created by CERN and the Large Hadron Collider.
I was surprised at how focused the anime was. I
expected a plot with greater scope given the initial premise. With
retrospect, it was a good decision to not diverge too much as some
anime based on visual novels tend to do. This is why I'm looking
forward to the game. I want to experience all the other endings and
plot possibilities.
So far, only the Collector's Edition and download
versions are available with the standard edition being delayed
another month.
