Resident Evil 2 Review

Resident Evil 2 is a complete remake of the original game in Capcom's RE Engine - the one which powers Resident Evil VII. Over 20 years have passed since the release of the original RE2, making it a good time for both longtime fans and newcomers to the game.

Dead or Alive 6 Review - In Progress

Dead or Alive 6 launched yesterday and some reviews are a bit mixed. I've only played it for a few hours and cannot formulate a proper review. Nonetheless, here are my thoughts so far.

Happy New Year 2019

Happy 2019 everybody! A bit late for a new year's greeting but better late than never, which is more than I can say for my blog activity in 2018. I wrote a grand total of zero (0) articles.

This blog was never really intended to be a big thing but I'm still a bit disappointed by its minuscule size. It was always going to be a passion project and a somewhat therapeutic thing for me but I guess the passion dried up.

One thing I always wanted to do was to inform. To give earnest and useful information to help people decide on what to spend their time and money on. In the case of anime, I became jaded (as did so many others) and I wanted to find the best modern shows, while also revisiting the classics.

The merchandise/collectible side was more about things like anime figures. These are usually expensive and the pre-release photos were often misleading. I wanted to provide high quality and detailed shots to help decide whether it was worth spending your hard earned cash on them.

This was a little tricky. In order to do this, I myself would have to buy the figure. Secondly, these figures would usually sell out at pre-order stage, making the value of a review moot. Further, sites like MyFigureCollection basically do this anyway.

Still, I will continue doing the blogging thing this year and hope that some of you find it useful. I will be experimenting with some different things (in the blog as well) which will hopefully result in more hits than misses.
